Charles Wellington has been practicing law in Harford County, Maryland and surrounding jurisdictions for over 30 years. His law firm, the Law Offices of Charles R. Wellington, P.A., was formed in 1994. Prior to forming Charles R. Wellington, P.A., Mr. Wellington worked as an attorney for several Harford County law firms. Additionally, Mr. Wellington previously worked as a law clerk for several Baltimore City, Towson, and Bel Air, Maryland law firms. The firms Mr. Wellington worked for ranged in size from three attorneys to over two hundred and fifty attorneys.

The Law Offices of Charles R. Wellington, P.A. is a general practice law firm serving clients in the areas of civil litigation, domestic law, estate planning and estate administration, real estate law, and business planning.  Mr. Wellington has spoken to numerous community groups and civic organizations regarding estate planning and domestic law issues.

Mr. Wellington's work is focused in Harford, Baltimore and Cecil Counties. He has appeared extensively before the Circuit and District Courts for Harford, Baltimore and Cecil Counties. He has also appeared before courts in Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Carroll County, Howard County, and Montgomery County, as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland, the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings, and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. He also has appeared before the Orphans' Courts for Harford, Baltimore, and Montgomery Counties, and Baltimore City.

Mr. Wellington is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland (formerly known as Loyola College), Baltimore, Maryland (where he obtained a bachelor of business administration in accounting). He obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Mr. Wellington is also a non-practicing certified public accountant, having passed the CPA examination in November of 1984 (he received the Elijah Watt Sells award for having one of the top 100 scores in the country).

Civic / Community Activities:
Mr. Wellington has been a member of the Board of Directors of Har-Co Credit Union for over 5 years. He also serves on Har-Co's Succession Planning Committee, ALCO Committee, and Scholarship Committee, and previously served on the Supervisory Committee.

Mr. Wellington has been a member of the Board of Directors of The Humane Society of Harford County, Inc. for over 15 years.  He currently serves on the Finance Committee. He previously served as Secretary and as Treasurer.

Mr. Wellington is a former director of The Maryland Conservatory of Music, Inc. (for 2 years).

Mr. Wellington is a former member and officer of the Joppatowne Lions Club (for approximately 17 years).

Mr. Wellington is the chairman of an adult co-ed volleyball league at Mountain Christian Church (for over 12 years), and the former chairman of an adult co-ed volleyball program through the Fallston Recreation Council (for approximately 15 years). Mr. Wellington has coached baseball, basketball and soccer extensively through the Hickory Fountain Green Recreation Council and the Forest Hill Recreation Council and he has coached basketball at Mountain Christian School.

Mr. Wellington is and has been a member of Mountain Christian Church in Joppa, Maryland (for over 26 years).
